![]() With the addition of the weather system, the track will support a drying line, however this is not enough. Currently, rFactor's track is a very static element, and changes are only applied to the tarmac temperature. RFE Track component will bring the rFactor track to live. however, it is not possible to have a complete weather system running only on the server and a client plugin is needed to provide all the functionality not already covered in rFactor. This addition will enable the variable weather system and will centralize some of the physical and visual aspects of a changing environment. Weather is something that should affect to all the participants of the session, and this is the reason because RFE Weather applies mainly into the server side, and is released as a plugin for the dedicated server. This component is released as a pair of plugins (RFE Weather Client Plugin e RFE Weather Server Plugin) that will work together to enhance the environmental changes during a rFactor session. The RFE Weather component provides changing climate conditions to rFactor. Probably you have seen it or have heard of it. The plugin series has been divided into several components, providing each one a different set of features that can be used independently, or in conjunction with other components. RFE Series is currently in design stage, and it is more a vision than a product right now. There is a lot of work to do, and the only way we can do (as long as the game code has not been publicly released, will it ever be?) is using plugins that provide the missing functionality we all love to see in a game. However, not all the possibilities have been explored yet. We all know what rFactor is, and most of the times such a complex engine (simple enough to run on a home laptop) has been be tweaked to create the most amazing and realistic games. RFE Series is a set of plugins created with the purpose of Enhancing rFactor. ![]() and if you want to know more in detail what is the RFE project you are welcome at forums. ![]() Here is a quick info about the enhancement made by RFE to rFactor. In addition is possible to update the track to the reflections, giving a better look in case of rain. The basic update is very easy and in any case the track will work with or without our plugin. And also I like to invite all you track makers, that dedicate time to build tracks for the rFactor Community to make your tracks ready for RFE Plugin Series. You need an Internet connection for multiplayer games.Hi guys, I'd like to present to people that don't know RFE what are the benefits using it on the "old" evergreen rFactor. The demo only allows you to play for 60 minutes.Compete against players worldwide in single races or even in championships over time.Įnjoy as never before driving a virtual car.Īfter downloading rFactor, the players will be able to enjoy one of the most incredible sensations of realism at the controls of one of the most important competition cars. The player will have to take part in different championships included in the game, all of which are based on real championships from all over the world. The player will be able to test different cars on the test tracks included in the game. Compete against players from all over the world Something else worth mentioning with regard to rFactor is the vast amount of different cars that it includes, because as the player completes the game he/she will be able to access a full selection of racing cars from different manufacturers and categories, all of them being based on real cars. The first noteworthy thing about rFactor when tried out is the sense of realism that it offers due to the detailed graphics that it includes as well as for the car's response to the player's movements, because if there is a sharp turn applied to the controls, it will be reflected directly on the car on the screen. ![]() And after developing simulators with such great level of detail and accuracy it wasn't at all strange for them to launch rFactor. Over the years there have been many different racing simulators on the market, with one of the most important being the F1 championship simulators distributed by Electronic Arts and developed by Image Space Incorporated (ISI).
